Vanliner Insurance Awards Holman Moving Systems Top Honors for Safety and Loss Prevention

- Holman Moving Systems Awarded $20,000 for Best in Class Safety Performance -
New Castle, DE – Holman Moving Systems, an agent for United Van Lines, today announced that Vanliner Insurance has awarded the company $20,000 in recognition of its superior safety and loss prevention program. The award is part of Vanliner’s annual Safety Incentive Program, which measures safety performance over the course of a year to identify agents with exemplary records. Holman Moving Systems achieved “Best in Class” for safety performance, which is the program’s highest honor. This is the fourth consecutive year that Holman has won this award.
“We are so proud to have won the Excellence in Loss Prevention award this year,” said Danielle Long, Safety Director, Holman Moving Systems. “We continuously challenge everyone at Holman to meet the stringent safety guidelines set forth by Vanliner and United. This award is a real testament to our drivers, operations staff and moving crews who work hard every day to create and maintain a safe and efficient moving environment.”
The award is determined by a point system based on specific safety criteria including:
· Total number of accidents and claims for Workman’s compensation (points are deducted for every accident or claim)
· Total number of drivers that take a defensive driving course
· Total number of drivers who turn in a safety briefing checklist
The competition began in June 2009 and ended in June 2010. Holman Moving Systems achieved the highest number of cumulative points during the contest period.
